Editing
You have a great manuscript, story, article, or essay, and you
want to be sure it is polished to perfection before sending it to the
publisher.
Key Benefits
- Have a
"second set of eyes" with editorial experience examine
your work
- Have an
experienced writer/editor proofread your work for errors in
punctuation, grammar, and usage
- Have
that same experienced writer/editor read your work and make
suggestions for possible changes that might clarify or improve your
work
Capabilities
We can assist you
in producing the most polished and professional-looking manuscript
possible. That means more than simply spell-checking your document, more
than letting some piece of software make "automatic" grammar changes
that are quite often incorrect. It means we look at your work with an
experienced eye, reading it for content, context, and correctness.

* All word counts are based upon the word count function in Microsoft Word, when the document is received. Increases in the word count by addition of more text will be calculated as they arrive, and the charges adjusted accordingly. Decreasing the word count after the document is received will not impact the charges, as the time for the job has already been set aside.
** "Fact-checking" for non-fiction work will incur a charge of $30 per hour, in addition to editing charges.
NOTE: Re-checks of edited work at author's request will incur a rate of $30 per hour.
